BRC – Global Standard for Food Safety

IFS Food

Is a GFSI recognised standard for auditing food safety and quality of processes and products of food manufacturers. It concerns food processing companies or companies that pack loose food products.

IFS Food applies when products are “processed” or when there is a hazard for product contamination during primary packing. The IFS Food Standard is important for all food manufacturers, especially those producing private labels, because it contains many requirements related to specifications’ compliance.

It supports production and marketing efforts for brand safety and quality.

IFS Food standard version 6 has been developed with full and active involvement of certification bodies, retailers, industry and food service companies from all over the world.


ISO 14001

The ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that expresses how to establish an effective System of Environmental Management (EMS). The standard is designed to achieve a balance between keeping profitability and reduction of impacts on the environment and, with the support of organizations; it is possible to achieve both objectives.

ISO 14001 is focused on any organization, any size or sector, which is trying to reduce impacts on the environment and to comply with environmental law.

The ISO 14001 standard requires the company to create an environmental management plan that includes: environmental goals and objectives, policies and procedures to achieve these goals, defined responsibilities, staff training, documentation and a system to monitor any changes and progress being made. The ISO 14001 standard describes the process to be followed by the enterprise and demands respect to national environmental laws. However, no specific performance goals set in productivity.


Integrated Production

Integrated production is a farming system providing high quality food and other produce in a user friendly manner regarding both health and the environment.

Integrated production meets the demands of responsible costumers demanding high quality and safe produce. The quality and safety of the produce is guaranteed through official certification.

The protection of the environment and the health of both consumers and farmers is safeguarded by using production techniques together with commercialization and manipulation methods.
